Participation
Children two months to 12 years of age are eligible to attend Ann and Andy's. The center is open to children regardless of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin. Ann and Andy's reserves the right to admit or terminate enrollment at their discretion.Hours of Operation
The center operates from 7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Full day and half day schedules are available as follows:A.M. Sessions : 3 hours (pick up before lunch)

Provisions By Ann and Andy
Ann & Andy provides a hot lunch planned by a licensed dietician which is a varied menu rotation on a four week cycle. A morning and afternoon snack is provided daily. Any special concerns may be addressed to the director. See Rates for food charges. Breakfast time is 7-8:45 am. Children arriving after 8:45 am should have already had their breakfast. Breakfast is provided in its entirety by the parents. Ann and Andy is a nut free school; appropriate food items may be found at PeanutSafeFood.comProvisions By Parents
For infants, all meals, formula and snacks, until on table food, are to be provided by the parents. Labeled diapers, wipes and special care items are also provided by the parents. Two boxes of wipes are needed once a month for each child in the Infant Toddler Center (one box for each child in the Preschool Center). A special blanket or cuddly (labeled) could be sent from home. Recommended for infants in cribs: porta crib size sheets, blankets and cuddlies. Mobiles are optional.All children should wear rubber soled shoes or sneakers, comfortable active wear and appropriate outerwear. Everything must be labeled with first and last names (www.mabel.ca).
An extra change of clothing (labeled) is recommended for all children. Ann & Andy will not be responsible for items that are NOT labeled.
If your child brings food from home, it must be ready to be served directly from the lunch bag or box. Your child will need lunch, AM and PM snacks, three beverages per day (minimum) and fruit or a healthy lunch dessert. We ask that you do not include candy. There will be a $2.00 service charge, per child per day, if there is any preparation needed (i.e., supplies or heating food). NO PEANUT BUTTER or NUT products may be brought to school in lunch bags or for birthday parties due to the increase in allergies.
School Term
The Fall School Term begins the Wednesday after Labor Day and ends on the 4th Friday in June. Our Summer School Session begins the 4th Monday in June and ends on the 4th Friday in August.
School Closing
The Center is closed on most national holidays (see calendar sheet). Emergency school closings will be broadcast on WFAS Radio 1230 AM or 103.9 FM and sent by email.Drop-In Service
Drop-in service is available but limited. The drop in rate is $10.00 per hour for all ages. Payment for scheduled time must be paid in advance. For children already registered and using drop-in service for their school closings, the rate for after-school aged children (kindergarten and up) is $7.25 per hour and the rate for preschoolers is $8.00 per hour. A 48 hour period of notice is required to cancel the schedule you reserved or you will be financially obligated for those days.Absentees
Call Policy - Notification that your child will be absent must be given by a parent or guardian no later than 9:00 am on the day of the absence.Fall School/Tuition Based Term There are no vacation, sick, personal days during the school year beginning in September through the end of June. You will be financially responsible for your child's scheduled hours for the days absent.
Summer/Schedule Based Session Any vacation weeks blocked out at registration time will not be charged during the summer session. You will be charged for time absent during your reserved weeks. The two week notification of termination requirement does not apply to the summer session. You will be responsible for all reserved scheduled weeks. Block out as many weeks that genuinely reflect your summer needs. This information is extremely important for staff and scheduling purposes.
Transportation
Transportation is provided to and from the center by the parents (or their authorized designee). Parents are responsible for bringing their children into the child's classroom and should wait for the acknowledgment of arrival from a staff member. Parking is available in the parking lot at the upper school. There is NO PARKING in the fire zone or at the infant Toddler Center, that driveway is for emergency use only. Your cooperation is appreciated.Reminder- While picking up or dropping off your child(ren) please turn off your car! Cars left running or unattended are NOT SAFE FOR OUR CHILDREN!
Early and Late Arrivals
Arrivals before 7:00 am will be charged $15.00 per 15 minutes or any part thereof, per child and must be arranged before hand. After 5:45 pm closing time, there will also be a late charge of $15.00 per 15 minutes or any part thereof, in addition to your hourly rate per child. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCEDNotification of Termination or Changes in Schedule
Two weeks notice or the monetary equivalent of your individualized weekly schedule to terminate care during the Fall school term (only) is required. Two weeks notice is also required to change a schedule (i.e., fulltime to part-time). This does not pertain to the summer session, as you will obligated to ALL reserved days and weeks.Health Guidelines
The health guidelines of the center require parents to keep a child home if he or she has any sign of infection, has had a temperature within the past 24 hours, is vomiting or has been prescribed an antibiotic and has not yet recieved three full doses (one full day). If a child develops any of the previously mentioned symptoms, parents will be notified and expected to pick their child up promptly.All medical reports must be updated yearly. In addition, parents must notify us of any inoculations given during the school year. New medication regulations went into effect Septmenber 2004. Medication can only be administered by a MAT (Medication Administration Training) staff member.

It is accompanied by a written Medication Consent Form filled out and signed by your child's doctor or parent (forms are available from us upon request). The medication must be in a childproof container and have the original pharmacy label plus the instructions from the package or the pharmacy. It specifies the child's name, medication, date, amount, and time to be administered.
Non-prescription (over the counter) medication can be administered provided:
Medication is in its original container and labeled with the child's first and last names.
Original information sheet accompanies the medication. It must also be accompanied by a written Medication Consent Form filled out and signed by your child's doctor and parent (forms are available from us upon request).
Visitors
During school hours all visitors touring the center MUST report to the office in the lower building, where they will sign a visitor registry book. Anyone visiting a child (therapist, grandma or grandpa, etc.) will also sign the visitor's registry book in the appropriate center.Conferences and Additional Information
Parent-Teacher Conference Days for three and four year-olds are posted in your child's classroom, or can be arranged at any time with the director and staff member for any age. Please contact the directors to inform them of any difficult or unusual circumstance, i.e., illness, divorce, death, etc., that may affect your child's participation. The time a director/teacher is taken out of the class to consult, meet or discuss the special needs of a child with an outside agency will be charged an hourly fee. Registration Fees
For new students the registration fee is $375.00, of which $125.00 will be utilized as a registration fee and $250.00 will be applied towards your one time fee. For each additional sibling applying at the same time there will be a $25.00 charge. For returning children there is a prepayment fee of $250.00 per child which will be applied toward your one-time fee. THESE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, should you decide not to send your child to Ann & Andy.Enrollment
Before enrolling your child, a visit to the facility is recommended (by appointment only). You will meet with the director or assistant director to tour the facility and to discuss our philosophy, curriculum and to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. You will receive a registration packet, this packet consists of:-Schedule of Days and Hours

Upon receipt of the completed registration packet your child is registered and placement at Ann & Andy's is guaranteed.
Payment Agreement
If payments are not received promptly, a prepayment schedule will be enforced. All payments are due upon receipt of statement, up to and including date of payment.There will be a $25.00 charge for any returned checks.
All accounts must be brought to a -0- balance by the last day of December, the last Friday in June and your last scheduled day of the summer session. Failure to do so will result in a $25.00 late fee, per week.
-Weekly payments are due by Friday of that week.
-Bi-weekly and monthly payments are due in advance.
-Bi-weekly payments are due by the Friday before the beginning of the next two weeks.
-Monthly payments are due by the first of the month.
-Any payments not received on time will incur a $25.00 late fee each week payment is late.
Ann and Andy Child Care After School Program
Participation
Children who are in kindergarten through sixth grade are eligible for the after school program. The center is open to all children regardless of race, color, nationality or ethnic origin. Ann & Andy reserves the right to admit or terminate enrollment at their discretion. Keeping with our philiosophy, Ann & Andy's school age program will be met with the same quality structured care we afford our other age groups. The children will be involved in age appropriate activities. We will supervise homework and provide time for your child to explore sports and arts & crafts.Required information on or before the first day:
