Absentee

Call Policy - Notification that your child will be absent must be given by a parent or guardian no later than 9:00 am on the day of the absence. Fall School/Tuition Based Term There are no vacation, sick, personal days during the school year beginning in September through the end of June. You will be financially responsible for your child's scheduled hours for the days absent.

Summer/Schedule Based Session Any vacation weeks blocked out at registration time will not be charged during the summer session. You will be charged for time absent during your reserved weeks. The two week notification of termination requirement does not apply to the summer session. You will be responsible for all reserved scheduled weeks. Block out as many weeks that genuinely reflect your summer needs. This information is extremely important for staff and scheduling purposes.

Notification of Termination or Changes in Schedule

Two weeks notice or the monetary equivalent of your individualized weekly schedule to terminate care during the Fall school term (only) is required. Two weeks notice is also required to change a schedule (i.e., fulltime to part-time). This does not pertain to the summer session, as you will obligated to ALL reserved days and weeks.

Lunch, Snacks and Supplies

You may pack and bring your own lunch and snacks. Also Ann & Andy has kitchens by classrooms and provides a hot lunch planned by a licensed dietician which is a varied menu rotation on a four week cycle. A morning and afternoon snack is provided daily. Any special concerns may be addressed to the director. See Rates for food charges. Breakfast time is 7:00 am-8:45 am. Children arriving after 8:45 am should have already had their breakfast. Breakfast is provided in its entirety by the parents. Ann and Andy is a nut free school; appropriate food items may be found at PeanutSafeFood.com. The fee for Full day - Toddler Center is additional $4.00/day lunch and snacks. The fee for Full day Preschool Center is $5.00/day lunch and snacks.

For infants, all meals, formula and snacks, until on table food, are to be provided by the parents. Labeled diapers, wipes and special care items are also provided by the parents. Two boxes of wipes are needed once a month for each child in the Infant Toddler Center (one box for each child in the Preschool Center). A special blanket or cuddly (labeled) could be sent from home. Recommended for infants in cribs: porta crib size sheets, blankets and cuddlies. Mobiles are optional. All children should wear rubber soled shoes or sneakers, comfortable active wear and appropriate outerwear. Everything must be labeled with first and last names (www.mabelslabels.com). An extra change of clothing (labeled) is recommended for all children. Ann & Andy will not be responsible for items that are NOT labeled. If your child brings food from home, it must be ready to be served directly from the lunch bag or box. Your child will need lunch, AM and PM snacks, three beverages per day (minimum) and fruit or a healthy lunch dessert. We ask that you do not include candy. There will be a $2.00 service charge, per child per day, if there is any preparation needed (i.e., supplies or heating food). NO PEANUT BUTTER or NUT products may be brought to school in lunch bags or for birthday parties due to the increase in allergies.
